My finished Abyssal shawl and the winner of the giveaway

Here are pictures of my finished Abyssal Shawl. I knit this with Duke Silk (Worsted weight silk) from my store, size 8 circular needles and used up just a little more than 1 skein, with fewer repeats of the feather and fan border I probably could've finished it with just 1 skein. This has not been blocked. I will block it just before I give it away, more pictures then. I love how it's turned out even without blocking. But I'm so not a shawl wearing person. So will have to figure out who it's for.

And now to announce the winner of the Banana Fiber Yarn giveaway. The winner is number 10, CrystalCat. Thank you all for participating! CrystalCat I will get in touch with you to get your mailing address.

And hey my yarn was featured in this pretty treasury!

  1. Love the shawl. I have just started my first -- it's actually called a "shawlette." Fun to see other people's work.

    1. Oh yeah mine's a shawlette too I suppose. It's fun to knit them, so quick and interesting.
